I bought these (Sweater Hoodback slipper) for my mother for Mother's Day but she was complaining about her old, cheap slippers so I gave them to her now. My mom is one of those moms who doesn't spend any money on themselves. She'll buy cheap slippers and wear them until they fall apart. She's 76 so at the very least she deserves a really nice pair of slippers. Now I'm a good gift giver so I've always managed to buy her things she loves but I've never seen this reaction from her. The only way to describe it is pure joy. It was like, for a few minutes, she was 8 years old again and had received her dream gift. She put them on and it was instant happiness. Now she talks about them every day and brags to her friends about them. She says that when she's out, all she wants to do is come back to put her slippers on. And in my book, that makes these pretty special. The fact that they look like jerseys is a bonus. It really ties into her knitting and crochet hobbies.
